Cover a broad scope of mathematical topics as they apply to real world problems.  Topics include reasoning and number sense, using percents and estimations, math for finance matters such as loans and investments, probability and statistics, and modeling.  Intro to Quantitative Reasoning may be the last Math class students take in College.  Appriopriate for student in:  English/Languages, Fine Arts, Humanities, Performing Arts

Prerequisites:  C or better in (MATH 1030 or MATH 1040)or ACT Math Score of 22 or Accuplacer AAF score of 235.

The important topics used in making inferences from data will be presented and illustrated. As well as material on descriptive statistics, estimation of the mean, or of the proportion, in one or two populations, simple linear regression, and one-way analysis of variance are covered . Appropriate for study in:  Medical Lab Science, Nursing, Kinesiology, Athletic Training
