2016-17 UGS STUDENT INTERNSHIP

This undergraduate internship offers insight into University policy and procedures along with a friendly working environment. Get paid to work on campus!

Job Responsibilities

  • Staffing our front desk/reception area during our hours of operation
  • Front-line interaction for phone and in-person contact
  • Clerical support to our administrators, staff, and faculty
  • Organize and conduct meetings, such as Student Commission
  • Assist at various events sponsored by our office
  • Take inventory of operational supplies
  • Other duties as required

Applicant Qualifications

  • Full-time (12 credit hours per semester) undergraduate student status for duration of internship
  • Have completed two semesters at the University of Utah by Fall 2016
  • Have and maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA for the duration of the internship
  • Good interpersonal and communication (written, oral, and listening) skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as be a team player
  • Have word processing and computer skills
  • Scheduling flexibility

To apply for a 2016-17 UGS Student Internship, you must fill out our online application and attach/submit the required materials, which include:

  • Two letters of recommendation submitted in sealed envelopes to 195 South Central Campus Drive (Sill Center 130)
  • One resume outlining your education, work experience, and relevant skills
  • One sample schedule describing your anticipated course load and extracurricular demand for 2016-17
